Rotating drum washing and screening machines "Reiter" series R.

These machines consist of a strong washing drum of suitably calculated thickness and diameter, in which the material can be washed either in current or countercurrent. The washed material passes through outlet pockets into the screening part, where it receives a further strong spray, which not only rinses it but also assists screening. All our machines rotate on a three-point support, as follows: underneath the washing drum there are two groups of oscillating tyred wheels giving maximum adherence to the drum, while the rear part the machine rotates on an amply dimensioned oscillating roller bearing. Drive is carried out by means of a large dimensioned planetary gear-box at the back. The rotating screens are similar in construction to the washing screens, except that the blind drum is not so long, while the washing and screening actions are carried out only by strong sprays located in the screening part. A tough prescreening cone can be fitted to the blind drum on the front of either of the machines, for a preliminary screening of the oversize material. Production is in relation to the product size required, as well as the nature of the raw material to be processed.
