Apron feeder " Reiter" type RAL

A  very  strong  frame holds the driving  wheels  which  have interchangeable  hardened steel teeth, the steel belt rollers and  the stretching wheels.  These are all fitted on hardened and  tempered  steel pins rotating on large  bronze  bearings with an ample lubricating box.
According to the type of machine, the drive is either carried out by one or two motors, with relating V-belts and planetary gear-boxes.
The conveyor track is made of extremely strong steel plates welded to form a highly resistant box; they are connected by chains with amply dimensioned plates, of which the hardened steel pins are housed in manganese steel bushes.
The chains are fastened to the outside edge of the plates, i.e. the outside of the loading hopper, thus avoiding any penetration of material into the articulated parts.
In the wider types the plates also rest in the middle on one or more rails in order to support the impact of the falling material.
The loading hopper is made of very thick steel plate with linings of non abrasive materials, where necessary.
