hydraulically adjusted and allows an easy and accurate regulation, even during functioning.In case of over-feeding, or of the passage of a non-crushable object, the safety system opens the space between rolls and re-closes at the same distance as before. The rolls are made of very resistant anti-abrasive material, assembled on steel shafts by means of special hubs with conical rings, which rotate on very large ball bearing. The conical rings allow an easy assembly and dismantling of the rolls. The rolls are driven by means of no. 2 electric motors. The power of the motors is determined according to the material to be crushed and to the crushing space between roll faces. Transmission is carried out by means of V-belts and very large "swinging" gear-boxes with hardened steel gears. This particular type of gear-box allows a safety relief of the rolls in case non-crushable objects are introduced. The machine may be supplied with a special feeder which evenly distributes the material along the rolls' complete width, in order to avoid irregular wear of same. There are adjustable blades which act as scrapers on the rolls, in order to remove any incrustations. The machine may also be supplied with a roll face dressing device, in case of formation of grooves because of irregular feeding or particularly abrasive material.
